Short Aurora

My Daily Dante reading stops in 18 days so I’ll have more time in the morning which hopefully Rosetta Stone won’t entirely consume so that I can get in more actual riding. Starting slowly throw seems to keep my leg happy for 20 tough minutes at a time. Good enough for a beginning.

7 miles today in just over w0 minutes; 10 in just over 30.

Feels good to keep the heart-rate up there

Wind, 2 Hills, Electric Socks

Working up my Winter routes very very slowly. My leg feels very much better but the odd gaps in connectivity or integration still rankle a bit.

Started well around the Stadium and took the hill well enough too; Hector the Leg Press Machine has done her job well. Now it’s up to me.

1000 feet of Up was an unexpected bonus; I took a very flat route.

It feels very fine to be out there again

Caught in a bit of Rain

I figured a had a 2 hour window and was only off by a few minutes. I fought some wind & chose the old Shelby-Woodland loop for the first 15 miles just for the hill-training. I’d forgotten how easy it is to get clipped by a car on that route; I successfully dodged 3.

Almost alone out there but for a few on e-bikes pretending to be putting in some effort & for the one guy on a Cannondale who at mile 31 blew right past me effortlessly.

Rain on the fallen leaves makes for one slick mess so I stayed away from the far end of the park.

Windy plus 2 Hills

I didn’t expect so much wind but it was delightful to fight it. Almost nobody out there. Took Lilian up out of the park & felt strong all the way up

Oddly small picture. At any rate the app no longer adds up your Total Elevation Climbed so I did the best I could & got 1330 feet.

Again an oddly small picture.

Aurora in the Rain

Lovely wind out there today but the rain kept me inside. Learning the variants in iPadOS 15 anyway; some stuff is quite useful.

10.1 miles in 30 minutes, 12.7 total after 40 minutes. No sprinting but the keg feels good.

I really need a good off-season here. Aurora plus Hector ought to do the trick.

A Bit Of Wind and Some Training-Hills

Today was supposed to be for Amabo & her 34 pounds but I took out Mr Tib again — about 6 pounds lighter configured more for climbing than sprinting. Many folks out there taking in the Sun, drinking on the tour buses, plus 4 actual Baseball Games.

I’m noticing more e-bikes out there these days & figure the shop near the Stadium is the culprit; I think they are cheating.

Took the short loop for more climbing & got over 1000 feet. Legs feel good.

The Stadium Loop now attracts scooters as well as drunken bachelorettes — a dangerous combination but they have never given me any troubles.
