Testing-out my shoulder & it’s all good. Quite a relief.
I tried to stop after 5 miles but one last up-hill pull was too attractive to me.

Still mostly testing my shoulder but over 5 miles there was no pain at all. Granted Halfbikes put almost no stress on shoulders . . .
Eventually I’ll take o Fixie out in this good weather & see how things go.

Actually also gut-checking my desire to continue cycling after that last crash. I chose the Halfbike because it’s easier on the shoulders & my shoulder isn’t all the way back yet.
Took it easy; aimed at 10 miles & hit 7. I had forgotten how tough this is on thighs.

Still nursing some bruises so I avoided slippery streets. I’m still trying to get 7 miles in 20 minutes.

Until someone jumped directly in front of me & I crashed hard. Somehow I landed on my left side yet gashed completely my right knee

Not at all my best day
We had gusts in the 20s today so I stayed on 17 teeth in the back. The paths were peopled but few cyclists out there — fearing I guess yet wet leaves. Hard to believe it’s November so soon.

I underestimated both the wind speed and the wind chill but still had a fine short ride nearly alone in the park. I own electric socks but chose not to wear them in 65° — which may have been an error.

I timed my ride for 70° so about 1 o’clock. I feared some lunch traffic but there wasn’t any. Normal activity tho made me avoid 3 of my favorite hills but oh well.

I expected more wind than there was so I had an easier ride than expected until I had to fight-off getting passed for 4 laps. Made for a challenging ride & in the end the guy who passed me was too pooped to stay at the airport so he went home. I guess then I won.

The protected bike lanes on Davidson have the built-in danger of active business with Shipping-Receiving areas attached so trucks must cross 2 bike lanes to get to their goals. All it takes is for one driver to be distracted & boom. Street Pizza.
I narrowly avoided dying today.

Since the new stadium is under construction the regular loop around the old stadium is impossible so I took advantage of a parking-lot to make my loop. A good ride save for the deliver truck threat.
