Mr Tib and part of the old Monday route

They without alerting me finished the detouring part of the dig at the Fortland exit so today I made a double detour for no reason at all. Despite this it was a good tough ride & in the end my legs felt like 45 in the hills would not be impossible.

My watch lists the amount of Up as 1575 feet which was 75 more than I planned; I’m sticking with it. I figure the mapping app drops signal & undercounts while the watch drops signal & extrapolates.

Double Shelby sets a good tone. I avoided Newhall only because it’s not Friday today.

Light Aurora in the Morning

I’m officially involved in moving my niece to her new place in Spring Hill so I avoided the regular Sunday Medium Leg-work and ride Aurora for a good 35 minutes fir 10.8 miles. About mile 5 I managed to pop-out a battery so the screen went blank on me.

You can see the plummet.

Bongino says often to include heavy cardio into otherwise relaxed workouts so I did the middle part of a regular Sunday workout u ended with swinging my belovèd Mace. Bongino is right; it’s a good way to tackle things even on short days.

Mostly Flat again on Amabo

Final day of a pretty good month. Today was the first time I felt like my leg/s cd handle 61 miles. Perhaps late September I’ll take a swing.

I got to race a train — but it was really just backing-up.

Davidson is still very Industrial. One of my favorite roads here.

I’m a fan of big Diesel engines everywhere.

A good way to end the month.

Amabo On The Flats

I’m beginning to suspect that the Altitude Calculator on MapMyRide has a bias against actual hills. On flat rides I get 1144 feet of Up and on hilly rides I get 1600 feet of Up. I’m betting that I cross 2000 feet more often than indicated.

Anyway today was a fine warm day with some wind & low humidity.

Many party-busses for some TSU event were touring the Stadium but my only awkward detour occurred because Shelby Bottoms is still getting Flood-Proofed and behold there was a large exposed Drainage Pipe at the end of Fortland.

A complete failure to make consistent plateaus but I was busy chasing other cyclists.
