Sorry for the rhyme.

It was a good windy day for the tough gear. Quite a few of us out there too ā too many on E-bikes in my opinion. I avoided the Airport because of the gusts but still managed to get my heart-rate up into the 170s.

In the final 3 miles I still managed to catch & pass an E-bike. Always a good feeling.
My legs are never ready for day one on 14 Teeth in back but by day 50 Iām always glad I started day 1.

I had App issues right at the start so my phone lost 2 miles & 106 feet of Up.

Fortunately the Watch App had no such issues.
A fine day of Airport Sprintervals
I took the heavy bike out for traditional Wednesday sprint-ervals but at mile 2 Davidson Road construction blew my tube. I reassessed & took the climbing bike out for a day of Sprinting. Still managed over 1000 feet of Up over 45 miles.

There were many of us out there enjoying the Sun & Pollen
My general approach to Aurora rides is valleys in the 50s and plateaus in the mid 60s ā sprinting every 2 minutes ā but the posted pattern of someone on FITIV got me to thinking about plateaus in the mid 70s and valleys in the mid 40s. My FITIV pattern does not reflect this difference but I can feel it while riding.

My usual heart rate in sprints is in the 170s so you can see the effects of those 140ās valleys.
Easter or not there were many golfers in the parking lot today so I did only a few laps to warm-up. I still need much practice turning right (the direction, not ācorrectlyā) and that parking lot is a safe place for it. At any rate I left to climb the usually un-traffic-ed hills on Holly, Fatherland, 17th, and 18th. I wasnāt expecting to hit 10 miles easily but I decided to then go for 15 miles. In the end I went 17 miles in shortly over an hour & a half.

30 miles no longer seems impossible.
My niece 8s visiting to hunt houses so my time went that direction. Got some time today for Aurora with middle peaks at 75 rpm & the rest at 60-65 rpm ā the standard deviation

I took Arachne out just before the crossing-guards blocked-out the Slow Traffic zones around the Grammar School. The Golf Club parking-lot was 1/16th full and those golfers not on the links were as amused as usual by my strange contraption. One offered me his old cycling caps.
Little traffic and light winds, so I made more loops in the safety & calm.

I took the heavy bike out on the standard Wednesday Stadium-Airport-Well Of Lycopolis route in just enough wind to make it interesting. There were oddly very few of us out there today.

The Stadium roads were gloriously free of debris

Iāve missed the Airport Sprintervals.
I had planned to fight the wind today on the Halfbike

But after all the shooting coverage I added some AirBike

It made for a nice Double. Iāll add this to the rotation.
