The pollen after the storms finally got me to reschedule my Tuesday PT, so I rode 16.2 miles on Aurora over 45 minutes. It felt mighty fine; I’m aiming at outside riding in 15 days.

Several very rainy days & my niece flew in to hunt houses. Very few rides this week. Today I managed one-legged pedaling for a mile on each leg, over half a mile standing, & one mile reverse pedaling. The leg feels strong but especially with wet roads I won’t be riding outside for at least a week. Physical Therapy goes well.

Plenty of time on Hector this week.
My leg feels about 33% improved so I took it for 15 miles — 10 in 24 minutes with a 5 mile cool-down for about 10 minutes. Feels good; I’m probably 2 weeks from a short outside ride.

The Physical Therapy works wonders and a steady date with Hector helps loads. I’m up to about 125 pounds on heavy days (2 legged) and 50 pounds one legged.

I managed over a mile one-legged & stood to pedal for 100 pedal-strokes. Leg is coming along fine.

Continued through for the full 11 miles
I think the kettles work best to strengthen my right leg when I use the smaller lighter ones. At least for now. My limp returns afterword but not for very long.
Just steady pedaling today. Sunday will be tougher & more specifically rehab.

8 miles in 25 minutes & then cool-down till 11 miles
A short climb — 70 pedal-strokes som I’m 15 or so pedal-strokes stronger — and 100 pedal-strokes each on right leg & then left. I can hit 20 mph lefty and 16 righty. So I’m up at least 25 pedal-strokes.
Poco a poco

My late-evening leg only work helps & now that I have a Foam Roller I expect faster improvement
For some reason I chose today to be a Leg Heavy & indeed my legs are heavy. My right is improving & the promise or perhaps it’s a threat of Dry-Needling on Thursday has me hopeful. AM Hector with about 95 pounds on the sled — one-legged only (alternating). I can handle 10 with my right & 20 with my left. 11 total miles on Aurora in the 20s at Noon. 500 two-legged again with 95 on the sled at 4.

Hope
A short Aurora before getting poked by a therapist. Both were heartening. It looks like a few weeks of Dry Needles and 4 new (to me) kinds of exercise will do the trick.

April I hope will find me out there again
To add to the nonsense I’ve got a blister on my toe. At any rate I rode Aurora around Noon & tried to beat Hector at 3 — so I’m one tired puppy.
Getting better incrementally

Sever single-minutes blocs spent one-legged pedaling. Right can sustain 14-16 mph while left leg can hit 20
I had a good time with Hector. I’m guessing the um Train weights close to 100 pounds so it’s probably on,y 75 but it felt good both one-legged and 2-legged. I had none of the disconcerting weakness I have while doing one-legged standing squats. So I’ll call that progress already. Tomorrow is actual leg-day so we shall see how I handle actual weight.
Aurora was easier than it has been in weeks. I did mostly sustained pedaling at 19 to 20 mph with some easy 23-24 mph 2 minute sprints. I’m hoping to get outside in April.

Things look less grim
