Dodged the rain but a birthday dinner kiboshed any Aurora today

Nearly 5.5 miles. Much better turn-control and I note that I have trouble turning right because that’s now my Weak Leg. This I suspect will improve over time. I passed 2 e-bikes too.
I put-off my regular Friday Kettlebelling to get a 9 ish start this morning on Mr Tib. Low humidity and 55 degrees at the start, 75 at the finish. The wind was relentless but I handled the hill-repeats well & the leg never complained.

The MapMyRide app gives different results due I think to spotty ATT coverage here in East Nashville.

I’m climbing better than I expected and I credit the Halfbike for the improvement.

I took a late Arachne ride just before the storm hit.

The various winds made balancing much more erratic.
. . . I managed two short rides and even corrected my hearing issue.

I never intended to use Aurora as any kind of Warm-Up but she works well that way.

I managed 3rd gear twice & I’m guessing top speed in it is in the 20s. I can’t imagine what 4th will get me.
I avoided changing gears out of self-preservation but got in my longest ride yet — 5.06 miles in 30 minutes. The gurus at Halfbike.com told me how to adjust the gearing. We will see tomorrow

Two short ones today.

I didn’t test 3rd gear again. I may need a Specialist. I have much better control now though. Day 14
4.59 miles today in 18 minutes, but my 3rd gear kept slipping either into 4th or 1st for some reason.

I’ll shoot the experts an email.
I managed a 9 AM start on Mr Tib and finally got in 45 miles with some hills. I did not expect wind-gusts in the high teens but things still went very well.

Hill-climbing on a Fixie often means Standing while Pedaling; I don’t think I’m fooling myself when I say the standing was easier after 12 days on a Halfbike.

I like the combination days very much.
Too full a day; I managed to fit-in 6.5 miles on Aurora in 20 minutes & 2.25 on Arachne in 15 — better turns and more confidence generally.

I had planned on a good climbing say but since my Shelby Route Glass experiences I decided to alter things a bit. On 16 teeth in back I failed to climb Glen Echo road [one of my favorite climbs] but a few weeks with Arachne ought to get my legs back into shape.

A good day of mixed sprints & climbs. 984 feet of Up.

The wind was actually in the teens & the gusts in the high teens.

And then after some Breville juice o took Aurora out for 3 miles in 25 minutes with 84 feet of Up.

Mostly 2nd gear but the hill was in First gear — climbing involves large sweeping amounts of Fish-tailing. A foreign & fascinating experience
