The construction detours all over Germantown forced me off my regular 2 Golf-Course Route & up onto 4th & 5th straight into lunchtime traffic. The truckers were all kind & patient tho. The old Greenway tho has been taken-over by newly displaced Tent Cities so the debris —especially broken glass — was a real issue. No puncture tho.

I had every intention of taking-out the heavy bike today but I had Family Problems to (fail to) solve so I rode Aurora for 8.15 miles across 25 minutes. I worked on one-minute plateaus & then half-minute plateaus.

Our ice has melted but I’m not yet steeled enough for 30° cycling

I was aiming at 30 minutes but my legs said 20
I went with mostly one-minute plateaus but toward the end my legs said Hey.

I’m enjoying the mimicry of outdoor cycling
I went with mid-range sprints just for the change of pace. Makes a nice pattern.

10 miles total across 30 minutes & 30 seconds
I took out the heavy bike because I knew there would be some wind out there. Perhaps unfortunately many Nashvilleans chose today to take a fine walk in the park; the path was thick with kids both escorted & unescorted. I dodged them all.

I didn’t wear the Spider-Man jersey but I honored the colors
I concentrated only on Upward Pedaling today instead of downward pushing or push-pulling to make circles. I’ve noticed that on my Fixies I can skip readily into circular sprint-mode but not for as long as I’d like. I’ll work on the Up part for a bit inside & see how it goes.
Very distinct plateaus

I had to wait till past noon for the heat to make a short ride possible. Gloves on a Halfbike seems unnecessarily foolhardy. Since I was fighting a breeze I decided to improve my turns.

I again made it nearly up my hill. Torque has a fish-tailing aspect on a Halfbike which makes it wonderfully challenging.
Way more tired than usual but I’m aiming at 100 Auroras this year. Went for 10 or so plateaus.

Still lost up there in the clouds but it feels good & improves my outdoor rides.
