now in the mind indestructible

I stayed inside today after a good walk with Pimsleur. 8.4 miles over 25 minutes with strong plateaus.

All the action is up in the clouds again.
I had planned on a good Wednesday ride but whereas today’s winds were in the teens & the gusts in the 20s, tomorrow’s activity promises to be steady in the 20s with gusts in the 30s. So I broke protocol & rode today.

I managed to achieve 3 Scoops and 3 Cherries near the Well Of Lycopolis. Three very short very steep hills [the Scoops] leading to an even steeper cul-de-sac [the Cherry].

Since it was on my wrist I rode the ride the Watch wanted — 1500 feet of Up.

The Aurora Plateau pedaling really helps.
Rains took my morning & obligations me afternoon so I rode #19 on Aurora

81 of these & similars to go.
Bongino muttered something about mixing-up general exercise patterns so today I went with Aurora in the morning (& was too gassed to do any weights at all; oops).
Longer plateaus alas mostly lost in the clouds. 13 miles over 14:40 minutes; 11.5 miles over the recorded 35 minutes.

The longer plateaus are less like Pass Those Guys break-away riding & more like Don’t Let Those Guys Pass You riding.
Thought I’d be dodging rain on a fine day. Indoor only but good plateaus.

Most of the day got away from me but I managed 3.22 miles on the Halfbike— about half in 3rd gear.

It was a lovely day out but my morning workout precluded an outdoor ride. I’m that old. Went on Aurora for 12.2 miles in 37 minutes.

I’m looking forward to an outdoor ride tomorrow
I suppose I figured I’d Warm-into the temperature over time but even at the end of 32 miles I — especially my hands — was very cold. Rookie Mistake. I enjoyed fighting the wind tho.
I took the Sevier to Shelby path for the first time in months; the amount of glass has been reduced but there still to great a chance of puncture. Too bad; it’s a very challenging Loop. I took 6th street for my second time due to yet another construction detour.

Not many of us out there but I got to do some catch-up sprints

But I rode inside anyway. I managed 11.2 miles over 30 minutes with half my plateaus visible & half invisible.

I have 85 more of these to go this year & I guess that too had something to do with Indoor Riding on a pretty good Outdoor Ride Weather Day.
