Fought The Pollen

I kept Mr Tib in the sprinting gear & got in a good 32 miles in Shelby. Despite having to dodge a few unruly kids & having to slam the brakes into a complete stop because a group of adults thought the bike path was a good place for an extended chat, I had a good ride.

Good sprints & I’m working a new warm-up pattern

I have to avoid my regular entry to Shelby because 14th is still a Tube Killer with the construction.

Halfbike Crash

My very first involving a car. Had to dodge quickly & dumped Arachne & me on her on the grass. Zero damage & it’s actually far easier to crash on her than on a Fixie.

A good hour-long ride in 80°. I’ll need to find a way to tote water this Summer

Looking forward to many longer rides now that I have a good Street Pattern.

Repaired Halfbike & Short Aurora

I finally got a replacement tube for the Halfbike — took the poor mechanic by surprise & he toiled over her construction for 30 minutes — and rode her home in Test-ride. She’s better than before.

I’ve missed her

So then I celebrated with 8.5 miles on Aurora until the final horse race.

Working invisible peaks

A good day.

A Few Miles With The Sprinting-Gear

I managed to kill another tube so I put the original rather heavy gold-colored front wheel on the light bike, increasing its weight enough that it’s pretty much as heavy as the heavy bike. Sigh.

The wind was relentless but not too strong Butão avoided Airport Sprintervals. On the back loop of Shelby Park I decided to take a few hills in the Sprinting-Gear and all went very well. Sometimes traffic around the High School up there can be inconducive to cycling.

My Stolen Goat jersey always attracts some attention.
