Low Humidity, Big Gear

I took advantage of the lovely low humidity today for a better-fueled 45 miler [what I call a Gastrique for impious reasons] , to make-up for my previous less-than-adequate showing. They are still putting-up bleachers for our car race so the streets around Me Sad Field were much cleaner than usual & also less trafficked.

Although I kept it Traditionally Wednesday Flat I managed 1551 feet of Up and kept the high 14s nearly till the end. I’m starting to believe my seat is a tad too high but I’ll test for that later.

Shelby Park was nearly deserted; I’m thinking many looked at the Temperature instead of the Humidity.

My inability to ride well at 80% heart-rare & sprint up into the 90s reflects my damaged leg & relatively rare rides these last 2 years. Both correctable.

Both screen-right & screen-left show the Bleachers

Since our bridge will be used for racing the cops moved the Party Jail onto the road.

The Portable Jails are squat & grey on the right

We are expecting quite the rowdy crowd at the races.
